The New Committee and Regional Organisers was created by Rob Warren
Ok, now that we have had some recent developments in the past few days after the AGM I can now announce the new team:
Chairman - Rob Warren
Secretary - Steve Sharpe
Editor - Rob Warren (Acting I may add till someone wishes to take over!)
Internet - Terry Gaskin
Regalia - Michael Erskine
Publicity - Juliet Quarmby
Membership - Rob Croskell
Technical Officer - Oliver Vale
(This role can be shared. One other candidate has come forward and will be confirmed shortly).
Regional Organisers include:
Scotland North - Ian Thompson
Scotland South - Michael Erskine
North East - Juliet and Sharon
North West - Mark Perry
East Midlands - Vacant
West Midlands - Neil Yardly
Wales - Rob Warren
East Anglia - Martyn Harris
Home Counties North - Kevin Hull
London South East - Geoff Hurley
South West - Vacant
Thames Valley South - Vacant.
So you can see that we have made some progress in having new candidates for open roles. Please wish Michael all the best with Regalia and give him your support. As the role has been vacant for a good while, there is a a lot to sort out and I'm in no doubt that Michael will do a sterling job.
On behalf of the Committee and the Club, I would like to give a massive thanks to Neil for all his hard work over the years and especially for the re-developed website we all like to use. Working with Neil over the past 12 months has been a real pleasure - nothing is too much trouble and he gives genuine passion to the car and the Club. The transition from Neil to Terry will occur shortly, although this is not something that can be done overnight. Please post up your thanks for Neil on this thread.
So we still have a few gaps to fill. A East Midlands RO, a South West RO and a TVS RO. It really would be super to get a full team this year. Can anyone help in this respect? My sole aim is to get communication improved within the Club and to make it more active - something I think we all want to achieve.
All the best
Rob

Hello everyone,
Well I am very excited about taking on the role of Internet Officer in the club. Neil has done a fantastic job of revamping the site and running the site for several years so big thanks to Neil. I hope I can continue to run it as well as Neil and provide the members with what they want.
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have an idea or something you would like to see enhanced, added or integrated into the site.
So here's to a cracking 2013, loads of runs out in the X,club meets and hopefully a foreign jaunt as well!
Regards,
Terry.

Hi All
I have put my name forward for NW organiser, I second Terry's words and look forward to supporting Rob to bring the club back to its rightful place and back onto a positive footing.
We are already in plans for a French X1/9 trip next year to get some of that South of France sunshine.
I plan on holding a service event for early next year for anyone new to X1/9s who would like to prep their car for 2013 or just for a brew and chat.
Any one in the Northwest who needs help please message me even if its a small point im always glad to help.
I will also be attending a few shows next year to show off my Turbo car so would be good to have a few tag along.
Mark

Yes Hi All,
Looking forward to the New Year and building a good Scottish Clan and attending some shows and arranging social events.
The next task is to refresh the Regalia shop so any ideas will be welcome.
So let’s move forward
Thanks
Michael

I think that Neil Ottaway mention the site is Joomla base, I found a auction extension that could be used.
extensions.joomla.org/extensions/e-comme...ion/19721#rev-125749
The club could gain some revenue by hosting auctions purely focused on new / used spares for x1/9s. Charging only a small fee / percentage for the facility (undercutting ebay).
If it could be made to work I think it would attract more traffic onto the website, and increase membership.
After all, if you are selling something for an X1/9 where better to advertise it than the owners club?
Would this be a possibility Rob / Terry?
