I have not posted for a while as have been busy playing with my new toy!
Just trying to sort out the last few gremlins and then ready to enjoy & show next year.
Waiting for the new carpets and will fit those.
Just fitted new alternator and water pump
Have issues with speedo - not working! and Fuel guage not working - Garage says not the sender but the guage - any ideas. Car is 1988 any idea which speedo cable i need - Thanks all
Forgot to ask - is there an x1/9 guru near CT5 postcode (Canterbury area) Ta

Hi Graham, I'd probably have the dials out to see what's up.
The speedo could just be disconnected, or either of the 2 cables could be snapped assuming the drive is all in order. with the dials out you can check the short speedo cable, also you can test the fuel gauge directly to see if it is at fault or if it's a poor connection in the fuse box.
About an hour away from you if you need a hand.
