Is there any knowledge of the number of members without internet access?

All paid up members with a valid email address held on the membership database are registered for the website as a matter of course. There are around 45 members which we have been unable to register. Of course, some of them may have registered independently on the website as a non-paying member. There is no way to verify this.
Around 78 paid up members have logged on to the website since the 1st July. Others may have browsed without logging on, but there is no way of knowing this.

Hi chaps,
Not sure if this welcome or not - feel free to disregard or ask more questions. The Montecarlo Consortium is about a third of your size - we'd be over the moon to get 150 members, let alone over 300!! We have a bi-monthly magazine as part of the membership, which accounts for our biggest outlay and the majority of membership fees received. We have a good forum, part of which is visible to non-members, but the ability to post, and access the technical forums, articles, and back issue database for download is only open to paid members. However, we also have a Facebook page, which is open to all.
We thought long and hard about offering Emembership or magazine by PDF, and came to the conclusion (and confirmed by vote at AGM that the choice would not be offered to UK members. However, EU and Rest of World members could opt to pay the UK membership rate and receive their magazine via email. The vast majority of our non-uk members opt to receive a magazine as its something they get in their hands to read.
We try to arrange a European trip every other year and offer a competition for number of events attended both with and without car, plus additional points for contributing to the magazine, with trophies handed out at the EoTB. We still need to chase around for articles, but there is a great core of folks who attend meetings, events and contribute, no doubt the same as most clubs. We try to encourage the social side and love getting together to drive, track, or just chat!
People do sometimes need to be gently reminded that this is a leisure activity, and those that do are volunteers, who don't get paid for their time spent and effort. If anyone wants to complain or feel that they can do a better job, then they are more than welcome to join the team and get more involved.
To some, we are seen as a clique. I disagree, we are an inclusive lot, who love our cars and are happy to spend time chatting about them. Encourage joining and getting involved and they'll see that very soon, they'll have made a few more friends.
Look forward to hopefully seeing you guys at the NEC in November and happy to have made new friends here! Rob, hope your care plugs allowed you to get back without a problem.
Cheers
Darren

Firstly thank you for the “new” more open website Rob, Neil, et al you have done a great job in refreshing the club.
With ~2/3rds of the members not actively using the website on a regular basis the results from the survey aren't surprising at all, it also supports the current ongoing requirement for the magazine.
With ~£8-10 of every membership fee being spent directly on P&P it starts to become apparent why membership fees need to be so high.
Personally I do not need to receive a printed copy of the magazine, with no active RO in the LSE or TVS areas, no ongoing need for club regalia and insurance of less than £98 (Club discount would not have decreased that either, I asked), benefits for me are a bit slim.
I will happily support the club as I have been, but for now I will not be joining, lets see what comes out of the AGM.
One last thought: The main home page selling point to potential members “We provide a focal point for all enthusiasts of this unique sports car.”
‘A focal point’, how about “We aim to be the indispensable source of X1/9 information in the UK to ensure the survival of a wonderfully unique sports car into the 22nd century”
Best regards,
Ian

It looks very much like those are the nominations that have been received for the new committee positions.
Where there is a name against a position, that indicates the nominee and where there is no name against a position, that indicates there is no nominee for that position. It's quite simple really.
And as he AGM has not yet taken place, there may still be time for you to nominate yourself for one of those positions, although fair notice has been given of the when to get your nomination in.
