Cylinder advice. was created by Rezam
Hi guys,
The car isn't far from completion now.
Sorted out the the small rust patches and fixed the timing so it starts again!
This weekend I started on changing the brake master cylinder. Complete pain in the back side to do. I decided to do it whilst it's still I'm the car as I didn't want to drain the clutch cylinder as it doesn't need replacing. After much swearing, throwing of tools, visions of burning said x1/9 I almost have it all put back together. Quick question though... On the end of the clutch pedal where it's got that rod thing the pushes the clutch cylinder theres what looks like a rubber dust cover or something. Is that supposed to fit around the end of the clutch cylinder? As well as that, there's also that metal part where the clutch pedal return spring attaches to. Does anyone know which way that is bolted on to those really long bolts? And where abouts does the other end of the spring connect to?
For anyone who has never chamged either of e master cylinders let me tell you it's the worst job in the world. I hope this doesn't put you off.
Thanks

Whoops,
I think this should have been put in the faults and fixes section. Does anyone know how to move it???
