Your doing a very good job with the mag and keeping this site on an even keel Rob ;). Do you think the Chairman will turn up at the AGM, or is that something we are not allowed to talk about on the open forum?

PS whilst I'm here... Does anyone else think there is too many facebook and tinternet sites out there for the limited amount of X19 owners?

Yes, Rob does a great job with the mag and he's an excellent and speedy moderator on the forum - he always beats me to sorting out any problems. Behaviour on the forum has been impeccable of late anyway and long may it continue...

With regard to the AGM, I'm sure as many committee members will make it as whose personal circumstances allow. It's kind of moot anyway - we all stand down from our positions at the AGM and a new committee is voted in by those present, potentially assisted by a postal vote if multiple candidates are standing for a position. Let's hope things turn out a bit simpler this year. Whatever happened last year, we've since had some great mags, the best National in years and a relaunched website, which ain't bad going.

I guess with Facebook etc, it's a question of supply and demand and over time things will even out. I think you have to look at it positively and say that the number of groups and forums is a reflection of the level of interest and love for these great little cars.

The AGM sounds like a dodgy mates meet. Votes from the members would be more democratic I think?

Splendid! We should have the AGMs in Dundee so we can be sure the "people's" will is obeyed.

Oh no, I hope we don't close all the "sad and pathetic" and otherwise superfluous fb groups; without them the "banned" undesirables (i.e. me) will not have a soapbox to bleat from :sigh:

Charlie I actively encourage a democratic voting process - you will see that I have mentioned in the magazine for people to come forward and show their interest in taking over existing roles; whilst it's early days I haven't as yet heard a peep yet. With regards to a Chairman, this year has proved that the club still functions perfectly well without the presence of one, as it has done so on many occasions in the past. All I would say is lets do things properly this time, no falling out, no arguing. We have many new members now that the forum is open and it's time to show them that we have something to offer and that the club runs in a professional manner.

So please, come forward now if you would like to know more about a role. If a voting process is required (I.e. more than one candidate for a role) I suggest a voting card is placed in the next mag. I would also like to see some form of skype system running (if required) at the AGM for those who have too far to travel. With regards to facebook, Pete has kindly handed over the X1/9 ownersclub page to our club so we will be integrating some of it within our website. There are many facebook sites for the X1/9 which offer people choice, as does Fiat CC. Our job however is to show value and make our club worth while.
