Just stumbled on this:

I'm sure from that Reg. that was one of the original UK 1300 Press cars that featured in all those magazines. Not got my Brooklands book to hand.......
Anyone know who owns it and are they members?
Apparently this was taken at the Bristol Car Show in April this year!

Neil, there are 2 pics in the Phil ward book but the reg is rlx 711 r. Can't tell the colour because they are black and white but it is a 77 serie special with the ladder stripe.

Hello Neil, This car used to belong to a chap in Chesterfield, he had two 1300's. I'm not sure if he was a club member but bought his other one in September 2008. I came across the following advert for it on Car and Classic about a year ago:

Thanks Keith - I knew I recognised the reg. All the original UK Press cars were reg. RLX ****
Amazing how many times you see previously unseen 'lost' cars resurrected.

I also went to view it in Chesterfield. It was a nice original car but it had some small welded patches on the sills and needed new sills and a respray to make it good. It was owned for many years by a chap in Wiltshire before this owner.
