Instrument panel removal. was created by David Havelock
Is there a knack to removing the instrument panel? Got fasteners loose but can't seem to budge it! Thanks.

Never done it but from what I have read you need to disconnect the speedo drive from behind. Hopefully someone with experience will chip in. Good Luck

Hi.
I removed my instrament cluster recently, I just unscrewed the 6 bolts as you have then was able to give it wiggle and it can loose, if yurs is proving stubern to remove the you can just get you hands up behind the dash beside the steering colum ( it is tight though ) :pinch: and give it a little encouragement , as for the speedo cable, mine came away with the cluster but the cable was only approx 6 - 8 inched long, and just pulled out of the outer cable housing.
I did not look as if the cable had snapped as the end looked as if it had been machined that way, well it still works perfectly!
Replacing it was very easy, just feed the cable into the cable housing first before easing the cluster back into the dash surround, bolt up !
Job Done.
