Hi Mike,
Welcome to our community.
Where are you based?
Have you seen the details of the National get-together in the Yorkshire dales in May? The link is on the front page of the website.
It would be great to see you there.
Email me on ene@x1-9ownersclub.org.uk if you want more info.
Cheers
Juliet

Hi mike,

I'm new to x1/9's too so I'm glad to find someone in the same boat as me. What needs doing on yours?

I think I'll lose, but I'll race you to see who gets there's finished first!

Oh yeah, I've bought a job lot of spares off eBay the other day so let me know if there's anything you need. There's a lots of trim and switches and things.

See you at the finish line!

Hi guys,

I'm a newbie to X1/9s too. I was coming down from the north in a huge shower of rain last week when I pulled into the service station for petrol. Parked alongside I saw an amazing looking little car on a trailer. It was painted black with no number plates and had really wide wings with, I guess, "temporary" wheels hidden in the depths of the wheel arches. The people in the towing car told me it was a Fiat X1/9 that was being modified to be a track day car, and I told them I had to have one as they look great fun. Stupidly I didn't think to ask these people their names, I wonder if you are members here? Hi again if you are!

So, now I'm looking to buy one and I'm really pleased to have found this club after searching the internet. I hope I can get some good advice from you all in future!

Cheers all, Steve

Hi Steve,

Great to know we have another potential owner on board. They are a great little car to own and there is certainly a lot of fun to be had.

If you are looking at buying this is the place, as the cars should have a good history with them.

I believe John is still looking at selling his car, a nice example that could be on the road in no time.

Sure there's plenty more to, how much work are you prepared to do?

Also where are you based Steve?

Regards, Ian

Thanks for the warm welcome Ian. My job has moved from the north west to Milton Keynes and I'm now looking for a flat there. Thanks for the leads too, I'll follow them up.
