Newbie from Kent was created by Colin Saunders
Hi, have just picked up my x1/9 today. It's blue with 29,000 miles on the clock, but has not been started in 8 years.
The car was given to me by a close friend who is emigrating.
There are a couple of bubbles in the bottom of the windscreen scuttle and a hole in the nose cone. Also some rot in the well where the jack sits. Some pics to follow.

Hi Colin,
Welcome to X1/9 ownership, and a great time of year to pick one up. I hope you can get an MOT soon and come along to some of the Italian, X1/9 events this summer, there's quite a few local events in Kent.
Please post any questions or problems you have and I hope we can help you out.
Regards,
Ian

Thank you all for your warm welcome.
Looking through the forums I can see there are quite a few guys with a lot of knowledge.
I have in the past been a MG fanatic, this is my first Italian classic and Iam sure will calling for help in the near future.
As mentioned before will try and post some pics soon.
