Well, prompted by the new magazine and the subs renewal letter I thought I ought to log in and see what's what*.
Anyway, I've no X1/9 at the moment. I still lust after a well-sorted and updated one, and will carry on looking. But for now I've gone to The Dark Side: a Mk1 MR2. Very special and rare version: the Super Edition = supercharged, special seats, climate control, etc. Dynamically, it's everything I wanted in my X1/9, just clothed in the not-as-pretty shape!
<!-- ia1 -->ald01.jpg<!-- ia1 -->[/attachment:15zyr9py]
<!-- ia0 -->baw03.jpg<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:15zyr9py]
So if you see a dark sort-of-blue/grey MR2 flashing at you next year, it'll probably be me.
* Wish I hadn't - this club is clearly imploding. Well, it'll do it without my 2012 subscription fee.

I know I might get spat at for this but I like MR2s and love the look of yours.

It's ok, I have an mr2 also. The x19 bug will never go away though. Keep looking for a nice one and keep it for best. Mr2s are great daily drivers.

This MR2 won't be a daily driver - too rare for that.
As my ideal X1/9 is a rosso corse refinished 1300 chassis with 160-200bhp engine transplant (with brakes, please!), I might be waiting some time.
Might have to persuade Paul at Woodsport into putting the 2GR into an X1/9...
