CALLING ALL CLUB MEMBERS!!!!

As you may well know I have recently taken over from Mark as the club magazine editor. Unfortunately with differences in software packages I am having to start the next magazine from scratch (layout, graphics, templates etc) so it's taking a little longer getting started than i'd first thought. However I am making good progress now and need some write-ups on anything X1/9 - including the following!

General events taken place in 2011
Write up of the NEC motorshow
Rust in peace pics/info (practical classics style)
The first picture you have of yourself next to an X19 (a regular feature I hope, 80s haircuts should be cool!)

As you can appreciate, the mag is a big task. I know after the first is done it will be significantly easier; this initial one however is aimed to be out before Christmas. I can only do this with your help.

I'm afraid not Frosty I'm determined to get something out before Christmas though so it might just be my own articles at this rate! Come on guys, everyone is capable of contributing! Member profiles etc???

its a thankless task, the best way is to look through members posts and contact them direct, I tried to email around 10 a month and usually got around 2 or 3 reply's, it's a sad thing but people have busy lives.

I've got some very interesting stuff coming up including buliding an X1/9 race engine (by a club member who has done it with great results...so great that Guy Croft put a few pics of it in his new book) - will be a 6 part special. Got a member profile now, its getting there. I'm visiting the printers on Friday for a chat to check layout etc!
