I am a bit of modern classic fan and Scarlett joins a mint Peugeot 1.9GTI having replaced a couple of Porsche 924's. I am not entirely new to X19 ownership having owned a W reg Gold one about 20 years ago. Have to say this one is in much better fettle than that one was at just 10 years old!
I do lots of car shows in my classics so hope to meet up next year when I have had chance to give my new purchase a good shakedown. It is expensive to recover a car to the island (as I have found a couple of times!) so I like to make sure everything is A1 before heading to the north island.
Regards Steve

Another modern classic fan, I've currently got a Mk2 VW Jetta GTI and I tried out out a couple of 924's before falling for the x1/9!

My '86 red X is still mine after 19 years of ownership!
It is currently being tweaked to be journey ready after a layup of several years and is very close to MOTing.
Just to correct Pete, my Facebook avatar is a silver Alfa 166, which is my daily ride.
It would be good to meet up so we can bounce ideas and mods off of each other & avoid the mobile camera van!
You are not alone.

I went to school with a Paul H ... don't suppose you have any connections to Headley/Bordon on the mainland?
Up for a meet any time ..plenty of nice pubs between me and you! Pick a better day than today though!!
