Unusual Bags?

Ive got a pair of those up in my spare room !

i got one of those bags

I've got a set too guys but mine have the X19 logo on instead of the Bertone Signature? I thought all the X19 bags had the logo on ?

bertone ones maybe after bertone took over the sales of the x1/9 from fiat?

I have had some luck with FAG my 1300...........
For those that don't know I have been the owner of the car twice. I originally bought the car in the early 90's and wanted to return it to full original spec. Obviously with the Serie Speciale this would include the fitted luggage which were missing from the car at the time. Within the pile of paperwork that came with her was an original service invoice from the original lady owner. I wrote to her at the address on the receipt and heard nothing for about 3 months. I then received a letter - from her - after being forwarded on twice to the two properties she had subsequently moved to! She still had the cars bags - brand new - untouched wrapped in plastic bags in her loft! Interestingly they bear the X19 logo's and are not the deckchair stripe ones to match the seats from the earlier cars - but this obviously proved they were the original ones that came with the car from new. I think my car was a very late 1300 - It was not registered until early '79. I know some of the early 1500's also had these bags............... I also have a 'spare' bag I bought some years earlier. Mrs Nello was using it for her make-up on holidays until I spotted how much money they were making!!!!!

i just checked mine and it says x1/9 on it....so the lady is letting you have the bags?

Yes I reunited the car with the bags at the time Pete - that was back in the early 90's...........

To be honest it does not need much now - its been back in my hands for a couple of years now but been stored away. I sold it originally as I got it that nice that - ridiculous as it sounds - I did not want to use it for fear of spoiling it! The chap I sold it too kept it well and did use ....which is how I want it too.... As you know I've just got it through the MoT. I still need to change the belts and the 1300 plastic cam pulley is being changed for a replacement steel one as its rattley on idle...... Once its running perfectly I'll move on to the body. Worst area is the scuttle - two patches between the wipers and offside... I'm hoping can be done without screen removal. I'm a bit of a perfectionist so we'll see.... Theres a few scabs on the arches and rear but basically its very good. The paint still has a great shine from the full resto it had back some 16 years ago. I need to fully underseal and Dinotrol again too. Will post some photos in a new thread - I drove it back from the MoT about 7 weeks ago and parked it in the garage where its not moved from again since!! So little time!
