Will be out of the country for about 2 weeks starting on Saturday.
But yes any information would be of great help.

A cartridge Oil filter?

Do you have a number of other manufactors that can supply the oil filter or is this just a Fiat Part.

Many Thanks.

I went to the dealer and purchased a filter.

$14 USD for a cartridge? Even the parts counter guy had too look twice and could not belive the price.

I have one from Fiat now and will measure it then go to my local parts supplier with the numbers and see what they can find for me.

Thanks so much.

At the FFO 2011 it was there in many colours. I will post a few pictures latter.

The sides of the car with doors are still the same but the Power rag top retracts in 3 different locations. Partialy open above the driver and passanger, half way over the back seat and fully open. Since the car has a soft top there is a small trunk or Boot lid in the back. I have a buddy picking one up this week in Indianapolis Indiana USA. $26,500 USD. With leather pearl white and NAV.

On the home front I changed the oil in my son's car. Certainly more thought could have gone into this by Fiat. A large skid pan must be removed with 6 bolts to access the drain bolt that now has a cross memeber that allows the oil to splash in many directions. The cartrige filter requires that the multi Air air box be removed and a 1 1/16" socket with a universal joint with a 10" extension must be used to unscrew the cartrige filter cover. The filter must now be squeezed between the Air Conditioining hoses, frame and engine. In a few words, oil everywhere.

In fairness this is my first attempt, but when the warenttee is run out a remote spin on filter would be my first consideration. I have no idea why the change to old style cartridge filters is the way of the future as either case I burn them in my brick lined stove in the winter. The cost is certainly more than a spin on filter that could at least be facing with the hole up instead of down. Talking to other owners in the USA The Dealers are driving 2 hours to pick the car up and leave a loaner car, change the oil and return again.
