Which Model is mine?

I have an 1988 F reg X1/9. I know its not a gran finale but it has the mica red paint, the leather steering wheel, the original "string vest" seats, the OZ alloys. Is it an SE or standard? What were the differences between the models? Cheers.

I'd say yours is an SE - most of the Gran Finale bits, apart from the rear wing and the GF badges.

Cheers Chris. So, at the time, could you only buy either an SE or a Gran Finale? Didn't the GF have a rear spoiler? Or was this an optional extra? I wonder what the price difference was.

I think that in order to sell the last bunch of SE's (as production had then ended) Fiat sent over a load of spoilers and extra badges so that the UK dealers could create the GF (and hopefully raise interest in this new model). No idea what the price difference was, but to this day I'm sure the GF is the most sought after model because of its prestige :P

Maybe

Mine's an SE - says so on the original invoice from 28th Dec. 1988, but it also has the spoiler.

Mine's a hybrid :!: :?

It's a 1987 on a 1990 ( H ) plate ..

Pale yellow, blue door panels, blue/grey check seats, pepperpot wheels ...

Plus spoiler & some GF badging ... if in the wrong place :!:

Was told that the Dealer held it back, thinking that he could get more for it as it was towards the end of the line .. LOL :!:

And, of course, the dealers were sent the GF kits to fit ... as they saw fit ..
Sometimes with the spoiler back to front too

Live and let live.

Looks like mine is an SE. I got a brochure off Ebay. There were 2 models for sale, a standard, and a SE. The SE had alcantara trim, spoked alloys, and mica paint. I have now swapped my seats for a standard set as the alcantara was more "string vest".

Out of interest. Am I allowed to upload the back page of the brochure showing the 2 specs?

Trim from the SE. Interesting to know how long the seats lasted before disintegrating!

Can I reword my last post

Last Picture. The super deluxe X1/9. Crimson paint, lightweight alloys. Folically endowed handsome gentleman or woman. Most probably a top executive with multi-national global conglomorant.
