Dont overlook the basics!

Just replaced the cambelt & fitted Lumenition to my new car. took it out for a run & found it was juddering terribly above 20 mph. Couldnt understand why, so back in the garage & spent several hours backtracking, checking everything Id done, checked carb set up even though I hadnt adjusted it. Back out on the road , no better. Fearing the worst, back into garage, jacked up car to find OSR tyre extremely distorted, presumably from car standing unused for a long time. Replaced tyre & car drives fine. Boy am I relieved!

Phew, that was an easy (and cheap) fix. Glad you spotted it and can now enjoy the car.
