Any 'X1/9 friendly' garages in the Edinburgh/Glasgow areas?

...a good mate of mine is dead set on buying his first X1/9, after having a spin in one of mine ages ago and after a bit of persuading from me, Im now a little worried as if it turns out to be a dog our friendship could be at stake! ;)

He lives in Edinburgh (so sadly I won't get the opportunity to help him fix it very often!) - Any of you Scottish chaps recommend a garage happy to work on X1/9's (and at reasonable prices with good workmanship) in the Edinburgh area preferably? Also Glasgow as well as he travels that way as his family is based there.

Apologies Tiff - my geography of Scotland is crap, but please, please tell me you are within reasonable driving distance of the above cos if you are - you will have some guaranteed business from my mate!

Cheers,
Jim.

Hi Jim,

If my memory serves me right Tiff is either Kircaldy or Dundee. Can't quite remember all the details of the drunken conversations we all had around the camp fire at the national meet. He is definetly on the right side of the country for your geezer.

All the best.

Thanks guys, well my friend went ahead and bought an X1/9! - Although it got him the 300-odd miles home, its already exhibiting a few electrical gremlins.... but he's still mighty chuffed with it though. - Tiff you have PM! ;)

Jim,
Happy to get in touch (email me details) or be contacted by your Edinburgh-based friend and new X1/9 owner. I'm in Edinburgh myself.

Bits of mine are still blue....must get round to finishing it!
Too %^^& ing cold to do owt just now,and with the amount of salt Fife council have chucked on the roads the past week,if I were to get the exxy out of bed,it would do a fine impression of an alka-selzer... :?
Worst of all, they've put a grit box right outside my house...does salt give off vapour? If so I'll have to move.....

I just got a 2006 Collins dictionary as an early Chrismas present.
