It is with great delight that I inform all X1-9 owners of my recent engagement to the lovely Miss Joanne Brown. Joanne is a qualified dance instructor and I work in television which may seem an unlikely alliance but stranger things have happened at sea... The wedding will be held on the 15th October 2011; exactly one year to the day following my proposal was offered and accepted. The boozy reception will be held very nearby in Peterborough at the friendly and very welcoming Ramada Hotel next to the River Nene. We will then head off on my (our!) boat for a few days before journeying to Egypt for a cruise on the Nile and then another week on the beach in Sharm...) We haven’t really discussed just how the Exxy fits into the equation but suffice to say she loves the car – all we now have to do is clear out all the junk in her garage to make space for “chips”.
