Insurance !!!

Hi All,

I have just renewed my insurance & thought I should share this ...

I have been with Adrian Flux for a few years, but felt that this year's renewal of £176.47 (inc. £30 policy issue fee) was somewhat high for a £3k, 3k miles cover, so went onto Money Supermarket ...

Best quote was from Lancaster ... £127.80.

Then I went onto Adrian Flux site for a quote ... in the interests of research! ... £116.10 with Chaucer, although this was £200 voluntary excess, rather than £100.

I then rang Flux and told them the above ...

BEFORE I gave him the figures, he said he could waive the £30 policy issue fee :roll: .

After he checked my quotes, he had a 5 second chat with the Supervisor & said he could do it for £125.00 ...

£51.47 less than their renewal :!: :!: :!:

Moral : Worth a look round / phone call :

Excellent advice - thanks for sharing. I would personally never go with a renewal quote - even just a quick phonecall can save you some money, as you showed by Adrian Flux waiving the £30 fee.

It helps if you like to haggle, and some people don't, but it can be worth some serious money. Just don't try it at M&S - it doesn't work with them :roll:
