Hi everyone,
Please see below for the photos from Saturday of Ursula. She did the 165 mile round trip no problems. She's a bit dirty in these photos but it adds to the vibe!
A few things:
1) Yes, I know the decals are on wrong. I'm a colossal moron. I think I'll get them done again when I have the time/inclination!
2) The nosecone doesn't match. It was the best paint match we could get for 835 BLU MET. When I win the lottery I'll get a respray.
3) Yes, I'm going to fix that rear bumper. Six hours of insane glue and clamps wouldn't get it to stay down, so next tactic is to screw it down! It will be flush!

Nice car,
The bumper, try clamping it down and heating up the plastic trim but not to hot, I did have this issue but not as bad, took it off the car clamped it between two pieces of metal and heated it up with the blow lamp. at a distance (don't melt it)
I then left it for a week and it pretty much took the bow out.

Hi Billy, do you have any objections to me using these pics for August's Car of the Month? If you've got any slightly larger pics (600 pixels wide), could you send them over to
admin@x1-9ownersclub.org.uk
, if not I'm fine to use these slightly smaller images.
Cheers

I have read on the US forum that a nice hot iron is a good way to flatten down the plastic trim on your bumper.
Havn't tried it myself, mine where flat before I removed them.

Thanks for the advice guys - it is driving me quite mad as it ruins the whole rear view of the car!
I've got a few techniques to try out now. If all else fails it is time for the ol' screws and nuts to come out and it'll stay down after that. It might look quite neat with that, but not "original". I'm not too much of a purist though!

Avoid the iron... it is way too hot and melts the black stuff unnervingly easily...
