Fiat Launch in North America

From July 08 to July 11th 2010 I attended the 27th Fiat Freak Out in Ashville North Carolina USA. 15 hour drive was spread over 2 days and was held in the Crown Plaza Hotel in Ashville. Fiat started it's North American Launch in a priviate setting for the Fial Lancia Unlimited Club members. Crews worked through the night to set up an outdoor display with Fiat Clothing items, cups, mugs, cappacino and Gellato. There were 2 Fiat 500's on display in white and metalic Gray. On the down side no one was allowed to sit in the vehicles or even drive them. Models were selling wares and also taking photo opt's with the members. FLU members were allowed to place predelivery orders for the 1st 500 cars being offered in North America, with serial numbers between 11 and 499 assigned to the new owners to be. Delivery in early 2011. The first 500 cars will be made in Europe all with black interiors and have body colours of White, Black and Red. No other details were given at this time. A deposit of $500 USD was required and is totally refundable. The cars will be after number 501 be made in Mexico.

The night of the launch rain hit and blue tarps were draped over the display in an effort to keep the water out.
