Fiat X1/9 potted history

Just doing a write up for Classic Car Weekly (they are doing a feature on my x1/9 restoration project)
I'm after a potted history of the X1/9 to include and want to be sure of dates of launch and model change, does anyone have something?

Or maybe list out the key dates you want to include and I'm sure between us we can mash up a reasonable guess on most, if not all.
