Phone Claire at Eurosport

www.eurosport-uk.net/shop/index . ... 40586b1399

She has special ordered 5 csc sports exhausts the ones that fit the standard manifolds.

I am taking 2 one for me and one for a mate. If my maths is correct that leaves 3

Approx £200 delivered.

Cheers

Guy

There is another option which is getting a stainless steel exhaust made. I have used Powerflow

www.powerflowexhausts.co.uk/

In the past not on a x1/9 but on a MX5 and it was excellent, a bit raspy at times

about £300 fitted would be a fair guess

Cheers

When my CSC split in Switzerland last summer, a temporary repair got me home, at which point, after some deliberation, I decided on the stainless option. I took the car to my local 'boy racer' shop, who previously did an excellent job on my Spitfire. My instructions were 'copy it, don't make it any louder than it is and no I don't want a 4" tail pipe'. £400 fitted.
Very pleased with result - wasn't pleased that the manifold was blowing and had to be replaced as well (that's 2 now, always rot where the 4 pipes go into 1, in the middle where you can't get to it - got the old one if anyone wants it to repair?).
I might have some pictures some where, or I can take some next time I 'visit' the car (parked at father-in-laws while builders are here).

Steve, I think i've read you right, you've now got a custom stainless silencer section attached to a "standard" CSC 4 branch manifold + bend piece? How's it doing on the tarnishing front - I've had a couple of stainless silencers in the past and they soon seem to loose that day one sparkle in the centre - but hey, it's an exhaust after all

Hi Bones
CSC manifold, custom exhaust and u-bend in stainless. Last time I looked, the silencer was still nice and shiny, but it's tucked well up behind the valance.

My problem started when the u-bend to silencer joint succumbed to tin worm, so the initial job included the silencer and u-bend, then the manifold was blowing, so I had your last one at the time - forget to ask the garage for the mild steel u-bend that came with the manifold.

Finally got around to taking photos. Car is being kept round at father-in-laws while we have the builders in. I was round last weekend, but by the time I'd done all the jobs he lines up for me, it was dark!
I don't drive it to work at this time of year since it is only 3 miles and it's on choke all the time and with lights/fan/wipers in use, after a couple of weeks, dead battery. Anyway, decided to wake it from it's slumbers and use it this week - monthly meet on Tuesday is 40+ mile round trip and committee meeting at the weekend will give it a good run.

So, this is the exhaust:

I guess it has lost some of it's shine, but since I had to lay on the drive to take the pictures (should have taken photos BEFORE washing car), you don't really see too much of it from the 'normal' viewing angle - not even from my perspective!

Great to behind an X1/9 wheel again :) :)
