(Early) Fiat 500 wanted for filming

Not X1/9 related, I know, but maybe you can help ? Ewen has been approached to try and help to find a Fiat 500 for a programme being filmed. Details are below ... can you help ?

We are sourcing classic cars for series two of the BBC Alba car show called Cuibhlican for BBC 2 Scotland.



Each week two teams buy a car and refurbish it before selling at auction. The

team who make the most profit wins. Each week the teams have a brand, such as a

Ford, Renault, Fiat, Saab etc. In the middle of the show the presenter does a feature on a

classic of the brand they are building that week.



A Fait Punto from the late 90s is being used one week as the restoration car and we

are looking for a classic Fiat 500 to do a feature on. We really like the bubble

shaped one from the 1960 / 70s I think.



Do you know of any owners in Scotland who would be willing to have their car appear on television? If so we would love to hear from them.



Filming will be at a private racetrack near Harthill on the M8 between Glasgow and Edinburgh. Filming will be for circa 2 hours during the day on Thursday 20th August. A fee of £150 will be paid to the owner. The presenter will need to drive the car on the track but he will not be going fast or racing the car. The owner will be present at all times. Insurance will be covered by media insurance. Essentially the feature will focus on the history of the car and we are looking for a nice original example. On the same week as the Fiat feature they will be filming a feature on a classic Renault 8 so it should be a good fun day out for the owner.
