Something from the past, a little gem that sparked one of the great trips. Anyone on that trip have access to the forum or does anyone still keep in contact with this band of brothers?

Well I don't know about the people but I now know Martin the Hat's GF has another claim to fame as well as being in the Ward book - his GF was on that trip!

Hi Ewen,
Marcus & Kay Weaver are clients of mine :!: :!:
He's now running a gorgeous Ferrari 308, but still loves the X1/9s
Will try to print your post, sure they'll love it....
Is there anything you want to know

Aye the Weavers are still in contact with Neil Yardley I know that. Marc is now a lawyer? I knew about the Ferrari, he's always been a fan. It was them that printed this stuff out but think they'd be interested to see that it's on the web

Yep, that's my car. I exchanged emails with Neil when I bought it having seen an article in an old magazine. He PXed it for a Lotus Esprit Turbo, I have the receipt for it's sale from the dealer that sold Neil the Lotus.
I have all the history of the car, maintained by a Fiat dealer... it went back for corrosion rectification under warranty, now it's much further down that slippery slope!

Yup, Neil still has the Lotus Esprite, lovely car but with two kids I'm not sure when it was last on the road. Neil also owned the ICI green 1300 FAG, one of the prettiest 1300's I've ever seen.
