1 Month and counting...

I'm working overtime just now trying to make sure I turn up at Callendar in an X1/9...left it too late as usual,but i'm determined to get it done in time.Its basically a Bitza,built up from all the parts I have kicking around,and the bones of an 88 SE which I've had for about 2 years.I started working on it properly a few weeks ago,really reminded when the SORN letter came through,has it really been a year already?? :oops:

Master cylinder
Heater valve
replacement bootlid
replacement door
carb rebuild
starter replaced

exhaust manifold replaced
instruments replaced
all locks replaced -no key
NEW quarter panels
fabricated rear corners
doors repaired

Paint is on,got a run on the drivers door,but that will buff out tomorrow,otherwise thats the bodywork finished,now for the rest...

The cars looking good Tiff. Glad you didn't go for the Artex finish like Joe or a simple glossy white (maybe with a hint of peach) :lol: :lol: :lol:

I am seriously considering a respray for my exxy (Red) as the Green 1300 puts it to shame. There is very little rust on it and it would benefit greatly, but I cannot convince SJ as she can see 2 1/2 exxys on the drive and another grand or so would tip her into the anti-exxy mindset. It took me this long to get her round ! :lol:

Hurrah for Tiff!....another white one has been created!

Erm,it really just makes up for my old one I killed.I'll try and keep this one shiny side up. I used Ford Diamond white 2K, ready mixed and £9.95 a litre...I did use a spraygun,but not going for a show winner! Don't want to be scared to "use" (abuse) it!! Mind you those quarter panels were a lucky find..I dont wanna be crumpling them!

With a bit of luck this will be my last week of nightshifts before leaving work. I plan not to work shifts again, but will miss the late night posting when work is boring and filling time. :roll:



under a tenner for a litre of top coat is really good Tiff.

Try one of the guys who work the night shift Joe you know the ones who sit on the backs of lorries using that white pain they use on the roads it is water resistant he ll sought you out some thing in white

Just a wee bit of welding to do now,refit the other interior,4 new (cheap) tyres,and then I should have a shiny new MOT-deadline Friday!!!
