Hi everyone

been a while but ive not dropped dead (yet) still working on the lido.

Can anyone tell me what the differences between the 1300 and 1500 doors are??

Got a chance a 2 very good 1500 doors but need to be sure they ok to fit my car

Cheers

Basic structure is unchanged so will fit ok - the obvious difference is the internal door release: You've got a pivot handle on your 1300, but it's a pull mechanism on the 1500 :( This means that if you want to keep your funky lido door cards intact, then you'll need to transfer the old meachism to the new doors. Chances are the hole(s) in the metalwork may already be there, but shouldn't be too bad to sort.

Next potential pain will be window mechanism - if it's an early 1500 set then they'll be manual like your ones, so no change. Later 1500 cars had electrics, either the cable type (using the previous manual style cable/pulley meachaism) or the better self contained worm drive type. if it's the latter type, then if you want to retro-fit back to cable it's not really an easy option as the pulley/holes will be missing

Other minor differences will be door trim tops inner/outer, quarter light upright and extrenal door handles - these might be black on your donor doors so will need replacing with your original chrome jobbies :) You may also inherit a glass fitting wing mirror (or 2) depending on era so really need loosing to keep the Lido style.

Forgot to add there might be a bump strip on later 1500 doors, so there'll be a couple of row of holes to fill-up when they're removed
