Hi everyone

Just thought I would post to intorduce myself and say hello.

I have found myself owning a rough but usable 1978 1300 Lido. I didnt know untill after I bought it that it was a good one to have. I just thought it looked great in black and chrome.

Anyway the plan is to wrk on it over the winter to make it a bit more reliable and then u it as a sort of fun rolling resto next year.

I live in Aberdeenshire near Banchory so If any club members are in the area and find themselves needing a cup of coffee let me know. But be warned you might end up under my car helping with something.

As always any help and advice is much appreciated.

Hope to chat / meet everyone soon.

Cheers

Just worked out how to upload photos

Here is some of my car.

Hope you like. It looks good in the sun from 8 feet away 8) but when you get up real close you see the rough edges

Cheers

Guy

Hi Guy,

Glad to see another member in Scotland. I live in Aberdeen and would be glad to give you any help/advice. If you would like to meet up on a weekend just P.M. me.

I went to see your car in Stonehaven when it was for sale so I have seen what you've got to do. A good winter project I think.

Welcome to the club Guy. Enjoy the restoration. I believe you, myself, Grimy, Ewen and Ian are all currently renovating 1300's up in Scotland. We must all be mad...

Hello and welcome Guy! :) You have a made a wise choice, the 1300's are the ones to have, the choice of X1/9 for the true cognoscenti, unlike the riff-raff and their 1500's! (yes I am biased, owning two 1300's myself!)

just in jest, I love the 1500s too really! - I've owned about ten in my lifetime!
