Not X1/9 related (although it is pointy at the front and nearly mid-engined), but a bit of a passion of mine...
After several years of restoration and 7 million pounds spent, it may be that this year was the first and last year of flight for Vulcan XH588. Failure to secure a major sponsor now jeopardises the whole project.
If anyone wants to help keep the last flying Vulcan in the air, the operating company have started a petition on the No10 website in an attempt to preserve the plane for the nation: petitions.number10.gov.uk/vulcan-XH558/
Thanks.

The Vulcan was at Duxford a few weeks back.
Shock the house as it went over.

Managed to bring the crowds out at Farnbrough this year and has a great supporters team selling regalia.
Those of you in the Gaydon area can see their Vulcan at Welesbourne Mountford do high speed taxi runs and if your in the Newark area they run the engines of their Vulcan but thes do not compare to having the Vulcan back in the air !
