I had the chance to have a ride in a Lamborghini Gallardo over the weekend - what a hoot ! That thing is SO quick, and we were on a test track as well so there was ample opportunity for sliding it around.
It had the flappy paddle gear change (e-Gear, I think it's called) and the changes were remarkably smooth. Then we switched to the 'sport' mode which makes everything that little bit more ferocious, changes the suspension, speeds up the gear changes etc. WOW WOW WOW. I thought it was fast before but that was REALLY quick.
Oddly enough, the thing that impressed me the most was the brakes. We were doing about 130 - 140 down a straight and the the driver slammed on the brakes. The stopping distance was tiny and it was all so controlled and smooth. I seriously have to re-mortgage my house - I must have one of these.
Then I got back in to the Exxy and drove home .. boy did that feel s-l-o-w (but at least I had the roof off !!)
