Bearing in mind Frosty's advice about rust worm in Gran Finale's, have they got an inherent rust problem? I've just looked at one with 45,000 miles on the clock which is mechanically sound, but after having had 2k spent 2 years ago on bodywork is now in need of a new front wing and other smaller areas of rust work! Should i discount them if they've not been rust proofed from new?

My advice would be find a car with minimal rust and dont worry too much about the mechanicals as they are easier and cheaper to sort out !

I have seen some great gran finale so guess its as much down to how the individual has been kept EG always garaged ?
