Some of you will have seen this, but for those that haven't this is one Exxy that you'll want to see. What an inspiration :

Stunning looking car indeed! - only thing I don't like is the headlamp pod mod, its got a nasty squinting look, in fact it looks just like the pods on the otherwise perfect 1/18 Minichamps X1/9 model!

Beautiful....a nice limey colour too

Cheers for that Chris 8)

Tiff, did you check out the before pic? I bet he didn't manage that over a weekend

I'm with you on the pod conversion Jim. They are prone to 'natural' failing as it is without having to engineer a failed look. That really is splitting hairs, it is a beautifully restored car.

Smoking kills...But only love (and X1/9s) can break your heart.

Looks great greener than the grass. Seems like a lot of hassle for 80HP. So is that some kind of homemade 5th gear on a 4speed box?

I think its just a homemade casing for the 5 speed box to clear the 1300 chassis rail.

From experience surely the CD30'S would hit off the inner wheel arch when driven like an exy should be. Looks nice but I know my CD30's knackered a tyre and this one's even lower than CYRIL (Tiff's rather amusing name for my 1979 1500). Car looks nice. Don't like the front lights and the black region at the base of the car but lovely work.
