Hi Jacqui,
1) The "bumper" mag was discussed prior to the most recent meeting and it was agreed that it was a good idea, but that getting commitment from ALL (or even MOST) of the members to submit pictures would be difficult. There is an action on me to submit an article to the mag drumming up support, which I intend to do once I'm over the shock of having another baby in the house !!
2) The issue of deleted threads was discussed at the last but one committee meeting and a thread was posted on the forum the following day with details of our discussions.
3) There are many great reasons to be a member, not least because you DO get answers (like this reply for example !!).
Cheers,
Chris

Thanks for the congrats. Offers of babysitters are always welcome too
Re the "bumper mag" - not all discussions take place on the forum .. sometimes the committee actually TALK to each other (shock, horror !!). I discussed this with Gomer, our trusted Chairman, and he agreed that it was a good idea but (I feel I'm repeating myself here) wasn't sure about the uptake by the membership as a whole. The concept is still alive and well.
Bit confused about the other issue you raised - you're asking me to explain what "last-but-one" means ? The issue was discussed at the last but one meeting .. ie the meeting before the last one. Not the most recent one, but the one before that. 2 meetings ago.
Let me know if you need any other questions answered.
Cheers,
Chris

A boy (again !). It means we now have TWO sets of little hands to get to the small, inaccessible places on the Exxy

if you look at it a different way, now you have a small pair of hands to get at the unaccesable parts and a not quite so small pair of hands to remove the first pair when they get stuck as there's nothing more embarrassing than hunting for a strange sound and discovering that its infact an offspring that you forgot was behind the dashboard

well actually now you mention it ......
non actually though i did once get stuck with my arm in an audi 100's dash for 20 mins till someone could free me* i do have trouble with cats sleeping in any cars with windows left open though which is quite a shock to both them and me when they wake up and we're moving.
* if your interested what happened was this "aero " audi 100 (remember the adds with the parachutes behind it to show what less aerodynamic cars felt like ? ) had a faulty ignition switch (maybe it was an ex fiat designer? ) and the quick way of changing them was to remove the offside air vent and insert your arm james heriot style. unfortunatly this one had a loose dash support behind which dropped down just behind my elbow so i couldnt pull my arm out. you'd be amazed how hard it was for someone to gain access behind the dash when i couldnt move from the driver's seat
