Dear Members,
It is with great regret that I have to inform you that one of our long standing members passed away on March 12th in hospital he was 68:
John Cranmer was a long time X1/9 enthusiast and Owners' Club member, who was always keen to talk about the virtues of Bertone's little masterpiece. He was lucky enough to have owned one of the rare Saratoga smoked 'glass' Targa tops when new and in recent years kept an immaculate Gran Finale in which he and wife Val were regular attendees at both national and local meetings.
Val told me that the funeral will be on Monday 31st March at 10.15 at St Faith's Crematorium in Norwich for any who want to attend and if anyone wishes to send flowers then they should be sent to "Gordon Barker Funeral Home" to arrive before 8.30.
Our heartfelt sympathies go to Val and the family at this difficult time.

I met John & Val a number of times, can't remember if they came to Callander but certainly met and chatted to them at one of the Nationals. Would I be right in saying Val is Scottish? Very sad to hear of his John's passing away.
On behalf of the Scottish region, I would like to pass on our condolences and best wishes to Val and family.

Carol & I met John & Val only at national events but they always had time for interesting chats. Will miss John at future Nationals.

The man with the red driving clubs
Have had the great pleasure of meeting them both over the decades each time John would have the pleasure of waving the red handed gloves at me, which were brought in Potugal so no chance Frosty .I can remember John asking me would he and his wife enjoy Butlitz needless to say they both enjoyed the occassion and others National events in recent years.
