Hello,
Recently rejoined after an absence of 20 years! Last owned a sprayed up 1977 1300, a real dog, but loved none the less! Traded in for an Orion! Promised myself another one, but wife, children & mortgage got in the way! I still have all 3 but am now in the market for another Exxy!
The wife says i can't be in the owners club if i don't own one! (Women Eh!)
Now in the process of tracking down a half decent car to keep me busy through the winter, ready for next spring. Red 1500 D -reg on-bay & plenty up north but not much down south!
regards
Nige

Ebay has become THE source recently some bargains can be had depending on how much work you are prepare to under take, but be careful, some wrecks go for silly prices.

Hi guys,
I'm trying auto trader, Gran Finale 28,000 miles £4,500! A couple of others but miles away. E-bay looked at every day, a 1982 1500 in Emsworth, Hampshire, no history or verification of 55k mileage £750. You're right though, there does seem to be alot of rusty rubbish around!
Would ideally like a fairly rust free straight car (don't we all i suppose) around £1000-1500.
Will continue search.
Cheers,
Nige.

Would aviod B and C registered X1/9
W and D and E registered X1/9 seem to have some magical staying power, as for the 1300 the last solid known 1300 for sale was sold last weekend to a new club member
Grand Finales seem to have a strange habbit of rust worm underneath the strange place to start looking for rust on a X1/9 We could always start with when is a Grand Finale not a Grand Finale do not have the dates to hand of when FIAT uk started advertising colours are
METALIC RED /METAIC BLUE AND YELLOW
all should come with three external labels and one internal label claiming that it is a Grand Finale some were even lucky to get the aerofoil on the rear boot which was provided by Bertone to Fiat UK however FIAT negleacted to inform the retail outlets which way round the aerofoil should be fitted.

Thanks for the info Frosty. The early 1500s (in my opinion) always look great, with the light metallic blue my first choice! Yellow MOT failure GF with 80k on sale for £250 in Bournmouth. Trying to get down there this week!
Cheers, Nige.
