Could us the members do with a X1/9 Recommended Repairs booklet??
My father is a member of the MG owners club and gets sent a booklet with all Repairs of MGs in the uk.
Many garages have no interest in order cars!
The MG owners club get a recommendation from a club member of a garage, the garage is then asked if they would like to be in the booklet.
Even if this club just produced it in a couple of pages of the magazine evey year, this would be a cost affective way.
Garages would be happy with the extra bussiness and club members would be happy with a local repair that also looked after all the other x1/9s the the area!
Good Idear??????
Post back!!
Also have a look at my X1/9 its been of the road for 7 years and its taken me 4 years to restore and put it back on the road! It used to be a well knowen x1/9 in the club, anyone rember it?!!
I think the idea of having a list of "member-recommended" garages is good.
There's no liability to the club as we're just saying "this member used this garage and was happy with the service" and it gives people a chance to find a list of garages that are happy to deal with our cars.
