Hi All
I have just returned to membership and X1/9 motoring. I am the proud owner of a black Lido Yap68T that may be known to the club. I purchased the car last august from a very nice gentleman whom was a true enthusiast of the X1/9. The car was featured in Phill Wards book and still today in 2007 is in fantastic condition. I am currently investing in her to bring her to a standard deserving for such a rare Lido.
Im tnterested in finding out any history I can as i know the car was owned by Neil Proud an ex club committe member. Please if you have any info on the car please im looking forward to receiving anything about her past at all.
Many thanks
Les

Thanks for your reply, I have had the seats retrimmed in Ivory leather along with the Gear gaitor and handbrake gaitor. The bumpers have been re-chromed and I have fitted a new rad and cooling hoses. I have found that the cooling pipes have a leak and so will need to tackle this. Also the top end of the engine had developed 'tappety noises' and so I have sourced a rebuilt performance head and cam assembly from midwest x19 in the US which is fantastic. A bit of electrical and bodywork to finish her then hopefully the club will accept her on one of the monthly features.
Oh does anyone know where i can acquire a 'vernier cam pully'?
Many thanks

Hi Les, Glad YAP has gone to a club member. It sounds as if your going to get it right up to spec. I have just pulled apart a Lido but I would be amaized if it had any parts you would want as it was a real bucket.
Cheers Graeme.

Thanks to all respondants and thanks to Tiff for the piper lead I shall certainly order a vernier pully here. As Im trying to establish history on Yap68t would any members have any photos of here at shows or anywhere else? When I took the interior out I found a number of show entry nos etc.
