I have also been in touch with Jamex Europe,and they WILL reproduce lowered springs for us,but have a minimum order or 50 sets.Again waiting on prices.These will be specially made for us,so cash will have to be paid up front before they will produce them.
Tiff - perhaps Eurosport,Alternative Autos etc might be able to help make it up to 50 sets? If they were willing to say buy 3 or 5 sets each it would be a big help. Just a thought.

An idea, but they are a business..as you will now know they need to make a little bit on top of what they buy for..dunno how they would feel about that? Are we taking business away from them? This opens up a bit of a can of worms....Don't really want to upset the guys who supply us...never bite the hand that feeds ya!! My opinion anyway!

This is the REAL world and the MANY OF THE PARTS SUPPLIERS HAVE MADE PLENTY FROM US IN THE PAST FEW YEARS AND WILL CONTINUE TO MAKE MONEY FROM our spare part requirements. Ask Steve at AA and he doesn't stock the lowered springs anymore but brings them in from Europe at a hefty cost. You need to order them. Last time I spoke to him he wasn't sure if they were available. This is not the answer I want to hear. If I need a part to keep the car on the road I want it to be available at the best price and if possible to be able to get hold of it as soon as possible. I will continue to buy many components from him and have great respect for the guy but since the parts we are trying to order here are very hard to come by, I believe completely in what we are doing. I'm a customer and a collector and understand that our main suppliers cannot continue to help us with many parts hence time for us to source them ourselves. I am also not in the club to make money and as an enthusiast will strive to keep the cars on the road which also means that we need to source parts at a competative price. I like new shiny spares and not seconds so this is the only way we can afford to go forward.
The main suppliers must understand if they cannot supply certain parts then we will source them ourselves. Sure I'll still buy from AA but not these items which they cannot confirm availability. People power on this one. As we're on a role we may as well maximise the potential for quality spares at reasonable cost.
If you can get us some prices Tiff I'd be interested in 3 sets. I know how difficult this stuff is to get hold of and the last two sets I bought from AA. I phoned Steve last year and he put me off the idea, therefore this is the next best option.
Very true Ewen,If these parts were readily avaliable,there wouldn't have been this interest,but they have given us good service over the years,and hopefully will continue to supply us with the parts that they stock.
The springs,if they are the same as they have always been,are 35mm or 1.3 inch lowered.
Sounds perfect. That sort of height is just right. My black car Storm was almost 2 inch's lower but that was just a little bit much. Now, how about bring CD30's into the country. I would love to know who makes em as you can buy them in Germany. How wouldwe find out?
