I'm planning to fashion a t-bar style roof from a standard exxy roof, to facilitate surfboard carriage.
I don't car on the roof being pristine as it'll be sawn up! But... the fitting elements need to be rock solid as I can't have a board flying off the roof on the motorway.
Will collect from London, M3/A3 corridor, Southampton, Bournemouth, New Forest.
having had the catch fixings come loose on 2 roofs now just taking on and off normally, I would be inclined to mod them anyway for this application, by bolting the catches through the roof perhaps .. they're all getting a bit old and brittle now
to that effect i have 2 roofs suitable for this mod!!
