Hello, the clock stopped working in my car this morning. Reset itself a couple of times to flashing digits then went off altogether. Does anyone have a good spare, and if I do find one how does the wiring connect? I’ve just pulled the unit out hoping to pull the plug to remove it from all power but the cables disappear .

There is just a white 4 way connector on 5 or 6" of wire connecting the clock to the car harness (at least on my 85)
My clock went faulty with some of the segments off, I thought electronics engineer, I will fix it! In all my i.c. datebooks from the 1980's none mentioned the I.C. on the board and I could not find any reference to it anywhere. The PCB looked good and there were no dodgy soldered joints.
Oh well, I bought a couple a red led clock modules from China - £5 for 2 and the can cycle time, temperature and voltage. I adapted one with a couple of push switches and its hard to tell t=it from the original, only bugbear is that it doesn't dim with sidelights. and oh yeah its poor at time accuracy!

Bought a clock from guy cormack on gumtree. There’s very little space for wires between the radio and the bulkhead plates. A friend on another car forum is going to have a look at the original one - electronics tinkerer.
