Wanted - carb choke control rod thingy was created by Hywel Roberts
Please excuse the rather technical title...

My choke wasn't working, so I stripped the air filter off to see what was going on. The control rod which operates the choke butterfly was stiff, so I lashed some carb cleaner all over it and it freed off. However, the split pin was fouling slightly so I went to remove it and the very end of the control rod snapped off!
I's the bit in the picture, this an "after" picture obviously :-)

Has anyone got one kicking about that they could sell me? I don't really want to buy a whole carb for the sake of this rod but needs must

If you get the model of the carb there are a number of specialist companies out there that sell spare parts for such carbs. They often seem to have almost every part listed

Think you need part number 62187.023 and split pin 32610.005, give webcon.co.uk a call. Looking at the state of the carb I’d also get a tin of carb cleaner and full service kit whilst you’re at it! Good luck.

Haha! fair one, it's a couple of years and about 5000 miles since it was last apart.

Thank you for the part number, I'll chase that one down.

A big thank you to Mike, he dropped the control rod in the post for me and it arrived in due course. I fitted it yesterday and the choke is now working as expected.
