It's rust free and original and am having fun
I used to have one when I first met my girlfriend in 1988, which turned into a long happy marriage, so thought it would make a fun winter project
Do you have a page with parts for sale that would aid my restore??
Need interior light covers, passenger Bertone grill, plastic covers to the side of the seat belts (brown)an interior door handle surround(brown)and I'm sure there will be more bits needed
Does anyone know if you can get aerosol paints I the original colours
Many thanks in anticipation

If you check the X1/9 info on the top menu bar there is a section under there for paint colour codes.
You can then get the correct colour mixed hopefully from that.
Generally if you list the parts you are looking for members will probably reply if they have them spare.
It would also be good if you could get a few pictures uploaded onto the forum so that we can admire your pride and joy
Where are you located in the country?
Looking forward to seeing more of your car.
Cheers
Andy

I tried the paint mix from Halfords, so far only the metallic mid, and not only was the paint nothing close to the original but the spray head from the can gave a terrible flow/angle/delivery
I did this on a test panel before applying to the car, so will try a factor to see if they can get closer to a decent match and finish

Rather than going with the original paint spec we used the colour charts against the car to get a good match. Obviously the original paint had faded over the years and to use the original paint spec would have meant a complete bare chassis strip down, which I didn't want to do at the time.

Sorry to hear that, the mica blue I bought is perfectly fine for the odd stone chip on mine. BUT we've not done panels with it!

I now have most of the parts I need but the passenger bonnet black air grill and interior light covers, but you light covers seem hugely expensive!!!
