my garage can't seem to source one anywhere

The front lower ball joint comes as part of the complete track control arm. They are handed so you need to know which side you need.

Try Claire at Eurosport UK first - www.eurosport-uk.net/shop/

EBay has some, but very pricey! Item no. 300599871070 for example.

I may have one spare, let me know if you get no joy with Eurosport!

For some reason the eBay link wasn't liked. I have edited my earlier post to show an item number.

I don't know which side I have, I have a couple new in their boxes. I will dig them out to see what side they are.

I see what you mean about expensive, I think I'm a little confused
my garage said i needed a lower ball joint! the part you are talking about
is not quite what I was expecting, x19spares have one listed for about £60
they are listing it as a control arm? is this the right part?

The full description is track control arm and yes it is the right part! The lower ball joint you refer to is built in to the track control arm, it cannot be obtained as a separate item.

The ones from X1/9 Spares are a reasonable price, especially if they provide urethane bushes.

I should add that not many garages know anything about X1/9s. If they can't plug a computer into it they are lost!

I don't do half as much as I used to, never have the time, so I end up paying someone to do it, did you manage to find the control arms you had? if so would you be willing to sell me one, I need a nearside one
