alternator

hi does any body have a 55amp alternator for sale
as mine is on its way out this is the noise that has
been driving me nuts.

I fitted a 55 amp Valeo reconditioned one two weeks ago and the car now sounds like a turbo hairdryer when setting off anywhere! At least it is charging the battery though. I was hoping it would settle down, but no such look. The belt doesn't feel over tight, and there's no squealing when it's damp weather so it's not too slack either. Nothing is ever simple, is it?

all i can say is the alternator on my car is magnetti marelli
and its a 1989 granfinale x19 hope that helps?

at the moment mine sounds like nails bein rattled around in
a tin horrible noise but i suppose thats the joys of motoring.lol
