I am not actually looking for an Uno Turbo engine.. but I have been offered one and was wondering what sort of money I should be paying?
The engine in question is a 1.4 with gearbox and fuel loom. Done about 87,000 miles. The guy, who has offered it to me for the exxy, is looking for around £500 for the lot...
Is this good or bad do you think?
Thanks,
Adam

Have seen mark ones go for this sort of money but they are a little rare now,
Personally i would not want to pay more than £350 as it will probably need work.

I'll have to ask a bit more about the wiring, as he did mention that one bit was missing!

I think for the £500 he would pretty much give me the whole car minus a selection of bits he wants for another Uno... but it would include all the running gear.. I'm guessing gear breaks etc are compatable?

Brakes should all be compatible.

So basically the Mark II gearbox will be no use to me?
H105Daz I'll let you know soon if I decide to go for the project!

I even have some spare X1/9 engine components you would needs for the swap so you can start work on it without taking your engine apart.
It is of unknown condition - I bought it as a spare and since have had a full rebuild so think it's not worth the space it takes up.
How does £100 sound for the engine and your pick of spares to go with?
