Hi All
Anyone got a set of 1300 bumper brackets (would come and remove from an old car if needed)
I’m re fitting the ones on my VS and want to make them as original as possible so need a set to check body clearance and original fitting/mounting to car
Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark,
I have a set of original front brackets complete with spotlamp brackets if they are any good for you to copy, measure etc.
I'd like them back but you're welcome to borrow them.
Let me know if they're any use.
Cheers,
Mick

Thanks Mick
what i might do is pay you a visit and photo the brackets at your place
unless i find an old set to buy.
Also your resto job also inspired me to re do the VS, your blue special looks really cool.

Hi Mark,
I should point out that the reason I have the front brackets spare is because I didn't use them on my car. They would be a lot of work modifying the existing mounts to get them anything near fitting. I measured up and designed my own brackets and had a friend with an engineering company make them.
The rears are pretty straightforward and can be made to fit into the existing bumper mounts.
You are more than welcome to come and have a look.
Mick
