Hi would anybody have the Little plastic cover which fits over the carpet and is adjacent to the accelerator pedal for sale. My current one is split in two halves. I have checked e-bay a few times but unfortunately its not an item thats generally seen in the vast e-bay x1/9 category at the moment. :?:

Hi Charlie,

You can have mine if you want it (1500 same as 1300, I guess?)

A couple of years ago, we were on the 1st run of the year; I was racing....

er... trying to catch ex Xy friends in their modified, very quick Austin A35

(it was NOT going to win  )... so after the 3rd village/ 30mph

limit, I floored it & caught them up :D :D

However, the A35 was useless on corners and as Paul quickly decelerated,

I found my throttle was stuck & his rear was looming ever

larger

Thank God there was a side road for me to take, & as the £ signs rolled at

the prospect of a blown engine, I switched off the ignition.

Several friends stopped to help, & Rob D finally found the culprit.....

the said plastic cover had worked loose & jammed the accelerator to the

floor. He removed it....& I've never dared to put it back; one shock like

that is one too many for Yorkshire folk. :!:

If you still want it after that provenance, it's yours :!:

Cheers,

Sharon.

No cost, no charge, just pm me with your address.

Take it as a "Thank you/ Lovely to see you & Mary again/ Thanks for supporting last year's National".

Just make sure it's FIRMLY screwed down... history Shouldn't repeat itself :!: But hopefully, the provenance might buy you a beer or two :?: ... But then... you'd NEVER floor it anyway :?: :?:
