Speaker needed

Hello,
One of the original Blaupunkt speakers (8cm diameter) in the door panel of my '89 car has just died. They have an integral square grill that fit almost flush with the panel.
I expect it, and the stereo, was fitted by the dealer prior to delivery so assume it was a standard unit.
Does anyone have a spare for sale in case my search for a new pair is Unsuccessful?

I could be wrong on this one, but I don't believe that speakers in the doors were ever a standard X1/9 bit of kit, or a dealer option. The two speakers behind the seats were standard fit. If I am right, then any speakers you have in the doors have been fitted after it left the showroom. This might make it easier to just replace the pair from Halfrauds or any good local car audio dealer.

No doubt someone will be along shortly with a more definitive answer.

I work in " HellFrauds " and i suggest if you cant find a replacment blaupunkt speaker, that you change the speaker for one thats a simular size and put the blaupunkt cover over the top if you want to keep it standard.

Thanks for the answers folks. There's no real rush as it's not being used much in this weather, it's just a little annoying! I too had thought of putting the old cover over new speakers, but unfortunately they are moulded in one piece.

It certainly came out of the dealership as is, but whether that was a dealer fit, or request as part of the order I'm not sure. I shall ask the original owner next time I see her. I presume that the other space for speakers is in the indented sections under the rear window on the parcel shelf? There's just a moss alarm sensor in the centre, with no holes made for speakers.
