1500 starter motor

Anyone got a good working starter ?

Hi Jon, Paul McCarthy in York may still have one.
Mine died a few years back & I bought the above, leaving my old one which he had repaired; that gave up late last year, so we did the same again... I now have my original back & believe he may still have a spare in working ( recon?) order... tho check it first... Mike Roberts was always wary of Paul's, don't know why... & Paul always maintained it was good. Up to you, but hope this helps. Give me a ring/ email if you want Paul's number.

had problems a few years ago with mine,removed from car took off the end to reveal armature and bushes. Cleaned the armature and went to an auto electritian who was able to sort me some new brushes. Refitted to car and not been looked at since. Might be worth a try.
