1983 1.5 Rosso Red dismantled

Due to lack of free, twin daughters and complete ignorance on repairing x1/9 bodywork I am throwing the towel in on the restoration of a 1983 1.5

She's Rosso Red and appeared in Classic and Sportscar 1996, I drove her for approx. one and half years and took her off the road in November 06 to start the project. The engine ran for the last time in Jan 07 and then I began to dismantle her. All that is left on her is the running gear, steering rack, front windsecreen, driver & passenger windows. Wiring loom has been brought back to fuse board. All remove parts are boxed excluding the leaking fuel tank and damaged exhaust which have been put in the bin.

My difficulty began when the bodyshop who were going to do the bodywork for me won a contract to restore a number of classic motorbikes and would not be able to take the car for a least twleve months. I checked around a good few other bodyshops and they were not interested or quoted so much to do the work that it would have been cheaper to buy a X1/9 in good condition, so this is what i did.

The rear wheel arches and rear boot panels need replacement and the sills are not great. The rest of her seems okay to my untrained eye.

The car is in Wicklow, Ireland and she is on irish plates with the full VRT(vehicle registration tax) paid. I have many photo's and can email these to anybody interested.

I am not looking for much but would like it to go as one, if you are a club member and can spin me a good sob story you can have the lot for free as space is an issue.

If it comes to a point where I have to scrap the car I will post again if any member wants any parts from her.
